Hello, hello!
I formerly wrote at my old personal blog, Functionally Dysfunctional. I found that even though I still consider myself very functionally dysfunctional, reading where I was and where I used to be was just no longer applicable to where I am now. I had desired to take my writing to a different place, one where I could focus more on the present tense, one where I could feel proud to revisit past words.
We all have those moments in life where we wish we could have handled life differently, maybe changed a few words here and there, maybe let go of something we no longer needed to keep. I guess that's where Functionally Dysfunctional was at in my life. It was a great outlet for me at the time, but those chapters are closed and I am onto a new destination....
That being said, this blog will be a mixture of so many things. I have begun a small photography venture, and I'd like to visit that from time to time. I also am hoping to get my beautiful daughter (who is wonderfully in the tween/teen world at age 13) to co-write some posts with me. She loves writing, I love writing, and I think there are words that need to be said between parents and their children concerning local and global issues. I can't wait to hear her perspective on some serious (and not-so-serious, hello shoes?) things going on in the world.
A little about me - I'm a recently remarried mother of 2 amazing children. I'm a slightly insane mother of 7 furry children. I'm an animal shelter volunteer, an avid concert-goer. A blog reader. A book devourer. A photographer. A wife. A beer aficionado. A weight loss project in the making. I work from home for a marketing company and tend to go a little crazy in my own mind sometimes.....
